about

The working title of this song was "ISOLA"
This is a demo for a song that was later re-recorded in the sessions for "The Graveyard of the Atlantic"
I'm not sure if it will make the album or not.
In hindsight there is just a certain honesty to this demo that I kinda think like better. I dunno. We'll see.
I've got a lot of songs.

"Isola" in Italian means "Island"
"Isola" is also the name of a beautifully lush and moving album by the band Kent from Sweden.
It is also just a pretty word.

The words in this song do not mean anything.
They are merely a lot of pretty sounds and melodies.
Melvins do this on occasion.
Mr. Bungle and Faith no More do this in a couple songs as well.
Sigur Ros created an entire language of all their own that they sometimes sing in.

Random side note.
When Bob Hoag and I are coming up with lyrics and melodies in the studio he will often "Meow" along with the parts that are still works in progress. Yep.
Did I mention Bob is a genius?
